New House/ New Car
Just to update everyone, I have a new car, and if you haven't seen my house here is the front of it as well. Maybe at a later date I'll post some pictures from the inside, but I don't feel like taking the pic's today. Anyways, my car is a 2009 Honda Accord. I got it on Saturday. It drives really well, and it will be a good car for me for a long time. I still need to get the body side molding put on (that should be this week) and i'm going to get the windows tinted in the near future. Anyways.... Here are the pics.

Christmas and Summer Adventure (possible)
Well Christmas was alot of fun. I was able to spend time with my mom and dad up here in Dallas. I'm still up here, and will probably stay for New Years. I have a few friends who are planning on throwing a party so it should be fun. I also got to see Abbey, Nick and the kids. They are all getting so big (especially Kayleigh), but they only like me because I'm a horse. Otherwise, they would rather play with their toys. I guess I can't blame them. If I had a horse to ride, I would only like it for riding... I got to go to a Stars game with Uncle Greg which was a ton of fun. Stars won in overtime... Other than that, it has been a pretty relaxing Christmas vaca. Still working on a bunch of things workwise, but things are starting to shape up. I'll know more once the New Year rolls around.
I talked to my friend Barrett today. Some of you know him.... Anyways, we have always said that when we get out of school we were going to do a motorcycle trip through Europe. He finishes grad school in May, so this summer is the likely target. Right now, I don't have the money to do it, but I'm hoping to afford the trip. We haven't decided on length or which countries yet but the bikes cost approx. 525 euros per week. We were thinking 2-3 weeks... I really think it would be the adventure of a lifetime and something I would never forget. That is why I am emploring you all to help me out.
I will begin taking donations starting immediately to help me get to Europe. Oh, and just in case you were thinking about not donating I'll say this. If you love me you'll donate. If you don't love me, well I will know by your lack of donation. Now I want this to be a non pressure situation at holidays and get togethers, so just go ahead and donate... Also, because of your generous donation you will be included on a souvenir list. Now, I don't have a non-profit organization set up so it will not be tax deductible, but hey... If Martha can do it, so can you! Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful Holiday season and are looking forward to a happy and succesful 2009. I know I am!!!

Sory once again.
I'm sorry for not updating my blog lately. I just haven't really thought about it, nor has there been too much to report. With that being said, it did snow 3 1/2 inches here in Baton Rouge Last week. It's the most its snowed since, I believe 1988, and 4th most ever. In 1898 or something it snowed 11 1/2 inches in one day!!! For a place that is near sea level and humid beyond belief that's pretty amazing. Here are some pics. I know most of you have probably seen them, but here they are again.... I've included a link so you all can see what the campus looked like that day as well as Mike the Tiger. http://www.tigerdroppings.com/rant/messagetopic.asp?p=11192458
I apologize if the pics are all over the place. I have no idea how to upload those things.... Other than the snow, there aint much going on. Still working on getting my business up and started. For those of you who don't know I'm no longer working with CT, but am now trying to work with dad (easier said than done) and another guy, Andre. We launched some radio commercials today for our debt settlement deal. Now its just a waiting game. Please pray that our results are beyond any of our expectations. There are thousands of people who are in over their heads in debt. Just pray that our message is received by these people. Also, off the topic, I hate my keyboard... It does'nt register keys fast enough to keep up so I have had to go back and fix practically every sentence. Anyways, I'm sorry for not updating in a long time, but look on the bright side... At least it hasn't been a full year (DAD!!!!).

Sorry Paige!!!
Well, just to update everyone, the three month contract with the construction company fell through. It's a long story, but basically one of the guys was not what we thought he was, nor what he advertised. He was unlicensed and had some bad references from other businesses that he did in the past. So needless to say, I have distanced myself from that situation. So right now, my outlook is very confused... I have some positives going on, but at the same time, 3 months from now I may have to go find steady work to keep myself afloat. I've been working hard to get some things done so we'll see what happens in the near future. I'm still excited about what may come towards the end of the year/beginning of 2009, but it may be worth my while to go get a job that still allows me to do some outside consulting and business development.
I have also started taking online classes on options trading. I decided to treat myself for my birthday. I've been looking into it for the last 3 years, and have done a bunch of research on it and decided that now is the time to pull the trigger. Among my plans at some point, I plan on going to get my series 7 to allow me to legally manage other's money. So we'll see what happens.... I can probably say though that there aint gonna be much in the way of Christmas gifts this year. I hate to dissapoint but I may be spending my time in line at the soup kitchen. (not really, but money will go to where it needs to)
With all that being said, this week I'm "supposed" to be going to Miami on Thursday to look at a business to get into, but that may get postponed til next week or something. Other than that, I've been enjoying being in Baton Rouge. I've been doing some socializing with the BR elite and doing some volunteering to meet some of the local business leaders. So, regardless of what happens I believe I am positioning myself to become successful regardless of what happens in the short term....

Aftermath
Well, we finally got our power back last friday... We went 295 hours without power... for those of you who don't realize how long that is it's 295 HOURS. That is well over a day... We survived with a generator, a free standing a/c unit, and one room with two lamps. It wasn't too enjoyable and by that friday I was pretty much at my breaking point. Thank God, it came on when it did because I was beginning to become very irritable and rude... Anways, I promised I would put up some hurricane pictures, unfortunately I havent done that yet.
Just to update you all, I'm working with Gulf South Construction still, but they signed my company up to do their sales and marketing for hurricane recovery. There is definately alot of opportunity out there, but at the same time, there are hundreds of construction companies doing the same thing. I enjoy it and I've wanted to definately learn some things about construction, but I'm glad it's only a 3 month deal.... Again, it will be good knowledge to know whenever I build my own house or have to deal with other contractors. I'm working on some other ideas that I have as well. I know that one of these days, one of my ideas will hit and everything will be peachy, but sometimes it's hard to see the end when you're standing at the starting gate. Being young and relatively inexperienced in ownership and business development, i have some real up and down days. Today, to be candid, i'm somewhere in between. I know I have to be patient, keep pushing, praying, and working, but I'm definately ready for that big break.... But, enough rambling on... More updates later...

Hurricane Gustav...
Is a punk!!! He hit us labor day around 1:00 pm. I have pictures that I will post whenever I can get to my other computer... Anyways, it was crazy to experience. BR recorded wind speeds at over 90 mph, and a ship captain on the Miss. River recorded winds at over 100 mph. Our new house was spared any harm, but we are still without electricity and its Friday... We drove around BR and saw all the carnage that Gustav caused. There are 200 yr old trees across roads, trees in houses, and downed powerlines everywhere. After the storm, not a single stop light worked. In fact some of them were thrown 50 yards from the intersections. Luckily there were only 3 deaths credited to Gustav in LA, but I believe there were over 90 on some of the Caribean? islands. We are up in Shreveport right now visiting some family, but will probably head back to BR on Sunday. Some outlooks say that electricity will be back for 20% of the city this weekend but the rest could be 3-4 weeks. In Assumption parish, which is south of us, they are saying it could be 6-7 weeks and they aren't even allowing people to come into the parish.
However, with all the destruction that Gustav brought, it also brought alot of opportunity. Just like with Katrina and Rita, there will be plenty of work to be done. Our business is looking at getting into roofing and some other opportunities. We'll see how it goes. I will say though that there is some internal conflict that we will need to address when we get back with our third partner, that coul bury it all. However, CT and I have prepared diligently for an exit strategy and regardless of what happens I think we will still meet our goals... I'll update again whenever I have more info....
